WHAT'S NEW IN AOL 4.0
* State of the Art Internet Technology
-- Microsoft Internet Explorer, built in. AOL 4.0 includes Microsoft Internet Explorer, a world-renowned Web browser that lets you surf the Net with the fastest, most up-to-date technology. The combined know-how of AOL and Microsoft makes for an easy-to-navigate, exciting online experience you can't get anywhere else.
* New E-mail Features
-- Spelling and Grammar checker! You'll never have to worry about spelling errors or common grammar mistakes in your messages again. A powerful spell-checker has been built right in to e-mail so you can quickly find and fix spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes before you send mail.
-- Pictures and Images in e-mail. Now you can dazzle friends, family and colleagues with pictures and images that appear right in the text of your messages. Pictures will appear literally in the midst of your text, not as file attachments.
-- New stylized fonts. Another new way to personalize your e-mail is with creative fonts. Use a playful font for your letters to friends, then switch to something more business-like for your work correspondence. You can add stylized text to your online chats too!
-- Attach more than one file to your e-mail. No more zipping multiple attachments by hand or sending them one by one. Now you can attach multiple files to a single e-mail message. Send several of your new baby pictures to friends across the country, or attach a few different business reports to colleagues.
* Fast and Easy Ways to Access your Favorite Features
-- Switch screen names without "hanging up" on AOL! With AOL 4.0, you can switch screen names without disconnecting from your account. You can check your e-mail for each of your accounts without re-dialing into AOL.
-- Access AOL areas and Web sites all in one easy step. With the new toolbar in AOL 4.0, you can go right to content on AOL and the Web from one convenient spot. Simply type in either the keyword or the Web address into the input box located right on the toolbar, then click Go. You'll be whisked directly to the area, whether it's on AOL or on the Web.
-- Keep track of the last 25 places you visited with a History Trail. The new AOL 4.0 helps you keep track of where you've been! The streamlined Keyword/Web location-box also serves as a History Trail list that stores the last 25 AOL areas and Web sites you visited.
-- Personalize your toolbar by adding your own favorite places. Want one-click access to your sports scores, your personal finance news, or your favorite entertainment area? Adding an icon to your personalized toolbar is as easy as dragging and dropping the Favorite Places heart onto the toolbar.
